Phil Jackson: "I was told not to say that I wasn't going to play Kobe in exhibition games." But then he basically says that Kobe will be sitting out some of the games to try to get his energy level where it needs to be after a hectic off-season. (By the way, yes, the fact that the Lakers' two best players were at the center of the two teams playing for the gold medal at the Olympics does worry me. Hugely.) Who told Phil not to say things like that? I'll give you one guess.
