Marco Scutaro

Avkash at the raindrops points out something I should have caught before: Marco Scutaro had a good offensive day on the surface of things (1-3, walk), but deeper, he had a good day working the count. He saw at least three pitches in every at-bat, twenty total over his four trips, and had a big eight-pitch AB in the fourth inning.
There's a good reason why the A's picked up Scutaro, and I can only hope that Mark McLemore doesn't take too much time away from him.
