Landon Powell is sticking around, which is cool. We all love Landon Powell, right? Well, not David, but the rest of us love him.
Jon Heyman said this:
#orioles, #mariners, #a's among potential players for damon. if balt or sea get him, thatll make it 7 diff. AL teams for jd

That's not awesome. Coco Crisp, sure, he's a center-fielder. The A's didn't really have a legit one of those. Johnny Damon? What is he? Is he even an outfielder?
Jeff Sullivan interprets the Tweet to mean that these teams could be fits, not that they've expressed interest that he knows about. Me, I think that's a rather hopeful view. "Potential players" is ambiguous, I agree, but given that it's Hey Man, I think he's talking legit rumor, not his own speculation.
I'd be happy to be wrong, though.
I don't particularly care, but maybe you do: The A's are looking at moving to HoHoKam Stadium for spring training, where the Cubs currently play. The Baby Bears are abandoning the park in 2014.
No real news on the A's San Jose plans, but the panel that's been looking at the move reported to the executive council of MLB, so I guess that's something?
Did you know that Jeremy Barfield is blogging over at Scout.com this season? Well, he is. He's completely delightful on twitter, so I look forward to more of this as the season goes on.
Al Yellon's list of 10 Quad-A players who could make it contains a bunch of names in the run-up that A's fans will recognize: Ryan Ludwick, Nelson Cruz, John Jaha, Matt Stairs, Jack Cust, Ernie Young, Jai Miller, and Brandon Moss all get mentioned at some point.
