The A's shut out the Mariners last night, and Erubiel Durazo is maybe the real deal. A homer was all Tim Hudson and Ricardo Rincon needed, but that three-run double was a nice addition as well.

It's nice to see the A's start the year off right, and it's nice to see Terrence Long and Ramon Hernandez, two keys to offensive respectability, each get a pair of hits.

We'll see how they deal with Jamie Moyer tonight, though. It seems like they always fare poorly against him, though that could be selective memory. I'll hope it is.
